The No. 13 West Texas A&M men’s cross country team finished third in the college division and fifth overall at the 27th Annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday.
Geoffrey Kipchumba was the top runner for the Buffs, placing 16th overall and finishing the 8,000-meter course in 24:09.54.
The WT women’s team also took part, finishing 19th in the college division with 559 points.
Sierra Spinler was the top performer for the Lady Buffs, placing 140th with a time of 18:40.64.
